The majority of publications produced by all Regions fell under the scope of the following fields: “Natural Sciences”, “Engineering and Technology”, “Medical and Health Sciences” and “Agricultural and Veterinary Sciences”. Figure 3.5.1 provides a comprehensive picture of each Region's performance -number of publications, citations and the relevant citation scores- in these fields. Citation scores over 1.00 exceed the world average.

All Regions recorded scientific publications in the following fields: “Natural Sciences”, “Medical and Health Sciences”,and “Engineering and Technology”.

Eleven (11) Regions recorded scientific publications in “Social Sciences” and ten (10) in “Agricultural and Veterinary Sciences” and “Humanities and the Arts”.
